Job Description
The individual is
responsible for troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in the towers
lighting and transmitting equipment. The
individual works at heights up to 1500ft. Performs tower site audits /
inspections required by telecommunication industry and the customer. Installs
updated lighting systems and replaces malfunctioning transmitting equipment. Test completed sights to ensure
all equipment is working properly prior to releasing the site to customers. Notifies Project Management of
any problems and sends all test results in prior to the stated deadline. Discusses any site problems
with Project Management and the customer and is responsible for ordering the
required parts needed to successfully complete the job. Helps tower crews when needed. Drives company vehicles to the
construction site and uses these vehicles to deliver material to other
construction sites across the Continental United States.
Required Skills
Must have a HS diploma, work experience in the tower industry or electronics
field or have a degree in telecommunications or electronics. Knowledge of communication
tower construction processes. Successful
individuals must have good communication and customer service skills. Must be able to lift 80 lbs,
have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a DOT physical.
